Unfair dismissal compensation limit set to increase

The maximum award for unfair dismissal will increase in 2012 from 68,400 to 72,300. The statutory limit for redundancy pay will also increase from 400 per week to 430 per week.

The changes are contained in legislation and are due to take effect from 1 February 2012.
